This is a frightening video.  Viewers beware, especially if you are Christian or Jew.  The argument for this video stated on YouTube.com says that it is the Egyptian government doing this, and not the Muslim people, and yet I do not see military forces in this video, but the citizens of Egypt.  It is a smoke screen to say the government of Egypt is entirely behind this.  I suspect the way it is going in this country, it won't be long when this happens in America in a few decades, and possibly Europe as well.

Michael Vick, Former Dogfighter

Now there is talk that Michael Vick should be reinstated to the NFL now that he is released from prison.  They are "afraid" that PETA will protest at the games, if this should come to be.  Well, I certainly despise what Michael Vick did, and I also disapprove of the way PETA handles things. I am also in pet rescues, and PETA is not anything but a fringe group with no morals, and they do not save animals, but try to make pet ownership impossible.  There are a lot of Websites protesting what PETA does, and they only put the animals down, and make little effort to find forever homes for them.  There are far more responsible pet rescues out there, and a person should never waste their donation money on this group.

I am against Michael Vick returning to the NFL so soon. This guy needs to prove himself, even though he claims to be remorseful.  Sure, he's done his time, but those animals did too, and will suffer in some ways the rest of their life.  We need to stop admitting the players that commit felonies back into the NFL. Of course, making money is the over-riding force in all of this.  It will not surprise me to see Vick reeinstated as soon as his home confinement is over with. 

Animals are forgiving, but they also have long memories.  There will be things that trigger their bad memories of their former lives, but this does not preclude them from having a much better life, and healing from much of it.  Animals do have feelings, as any pet owner will attest to.  People are disgusted with Michael Vick for what he has done, and this is one of the core values of our society, a love for our animals.  Why should our young people look up to NFL players that have done such hideous deeds, for not only Vick's, but other players as well?

Pelosi Bloopers

I have been watching the news with much interest, lately.  The controversy over Nancy Pelosi's accusation of the CIA lying to Congress, and to her, seems to be catching the attention of the Republicans.  Ever since Nancy Pelosi changed her story at least three times, it makes it suspicious to most of us that she is the one lying. No one doubts the CIA has lied a time or two, but to accuse them of lying to Congress is a legal offense, and this could errode everything the CIA has been doing to avert terrorism attacks to this country.  She should know better. I always thought she was a fairly smart person, but lately I am not so very sure. She is acting like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar, and refusing to admit it.  She has such partisan ideas, but terrorists need to be fought on both sides.  This is not a time to divide Congress, and America, and yet Pelosi is doing just that.  She is so adamanant about accusing the Bush Administration of wrong-doing, while trying to cover-up the fact she was briefed about the waterboarding tactics on terrorists.  It may be that the simple-minded Pelosi was thinking that waterboarding was more like surfing, or having fun, and she didn't fully understand at the time that it was a tool to get the terrorists to confess up their comrades in terror, thus saving multitudes of lives.  Who knows what was going through her mind when the CIA people were briefing her.   Maybe she was just daydreaming, and not paying attention to what they were saying.  She needs to provide proof of these accusations before she goes one step further. 

This fact does not matter to Pelosi one bit that this technique of waterboarding does work.  However, it doesn't work if it is overdone, which in some cases it sounds as though it had been.  Still, she thinks the terrorists have more rights than innocent civilians and our military personnel.  I beg to differ with her idea about that.  Pelosi is looking more incompetent by the day.  I sure hope she is convinced to step down from Speaker of the House, because she does not deserve this position, for she does not serve America, but only her partisanship policies.
